A St. Petersburg theatre company — guest performances by Yuri Butusov's workshop, and BuFest, the festival held in his memory.
Komnata Sveta is a St. Petersburg theatre company. Its first production, in 2021, was “ZAVIST’,” which found its audience long before BuFest.
In 2024 and 2025 the company brought Butusov's workshop to St. Petersburg for guest performances, both times to a warm reception. In 2026 those performances grew into a festival held in his memory: BuFest.
I've run the company's social media since January 2022, including the run of “ZAVIST’” (dir. Sofia Nikiforova) — sold out, with real interest from the profession — and the regular guest performances by Butusov's workshop in the city.
