Watched Antonioni's "Red Desert." This is one to watch entirely alone, just you and it.

Strange throughout: Antonioni talks about pure admiration for these industrial giants, and what you're watching is a crisis of everything — someone trying to find herself in the middle of endlessly running oil and a poisonous fog that fills the whole mind, down to the bone.

It's interesting how hard he worked to colour absolutely everything, this being his first film in colour — and the colour he had still wasn't enough for him, so he kept adding.

The unhurried pace took some getting used to, and not only for me, from what I can tell.
